KAN427 Series Illuminated Pushbutton Switch
2Z Changeover · Built-in LED · GJB1512A-2011 Qualified
The KAN427 series integrates an operator actuator, LED indicator, and 2Z changeover switching mechanism in a single sealed assembly. Two independent control circuits enable separate circuit switching for aerospace cockpit panels, industrial control consoles, and high-reliability HMI applications.

1. Product Overview
The KAN427 series illuminated pushbutton switch features an axial linear-drive actuator and bow-spring switching mechanism. Two independent control circuits can separately switch two circuit groups. In the normal (rest) position, both control circuits conduct; when actuated, they transfer to the alternate state.
Key Features:
- 2Z (2-pole changeover) switching unit, dual independent circuit control
- Built-in LED indicator (voltage-drive or current-drive)
- Solder-terminal connections
- Dual-screw clamp mounting
- Bow-spring mechanism for reliable switching

8. FAQ
KAN427 vs KAN389 — what's the difference?
KAN427 has 2Z (2-pole changeover) switching units; KAN389 has 4Z (4-pole). KAN427 provides two independent control circuits for split-control applications. Both comply with GJB1512A-2011.
Does KAN427-A-4Z-W include an LED indicator?
No — models without GV or GI suffix omit the indicator. For illuminated variants, choose KAN427-A-2Z-W-GV (voltage-drive) or KAN427-A-2Z-W-GI (current-drive).
Voltage-drive vs current-drive — how to choose?
- Voltage-drive (GV): Direct voltage operation, ideal for regulated DC supplies
- Current-drive (GI): Current-regulated brightness, handles supply voltage variation better
